Our Story
The Youth Health Literacy Network is a community of young people committed to improving health literacy for everyone in the Lower Mainland of B.C., Canada. Established in 2024, the network was created to inspire youth to take an active role in health education while helping communities better understand, navigate, and use health information.

Our Approach
We believe that strong health literacy is essential for promoting wellness and preventing disease. Our youth-led network empowers young leaders to share accurate, accessible, and engaging health information with people of all ages. Through workshops, discussions, and creative outreach, we strive to make health education inclusive, understandable, and meaningful.
Our vision encompasses a variety of impactful projects and initiatives, including the following:
- Wellness workshops & seminars: Educational sessions that provide introductory knowledge on various health topics.
- Social media engagement: Informative and accessible content on our social media platforms to spread health awareness and encourage healthy living.
- Health Unfiltered: A monthly discussion series where youth come together to engage in open dialogue about health and wellness.
